I had the privilege of interning in Córdoba, Argentina. I began my internship working at Funes Espacio de Salud, which was a private healthcare clinic. There I learned more about healthcare in Argentina and how the concept of universal healthcare worked in private clinics. I also interned at Centro de Atención Primaria de la Salud 54, which was a public health clinic for a specific neighborhood located in the outskirts of the city. I observed how doctors and patients interacted and learned more about common illnesses and education of doctors in Argentina. Through both of these experiences, I greatly enhanced my understanding of the healthcare system of the country by having the big picture explained to me and observing how it works at a smaller level.
